Anon 12.24, quite correct. I did however slip into the habit of working late and at week-ends, contrary to the good advice I received. In retrospect I think I allowed the work to expand into those periods, or put them off saying to myself I would do them then. And I was single at the time...

And yes I watched Digby Jones last night. It rather reminded me of the old saw that it is much easier to criticise than to do.... Still£250,000 on a machine that did not work. You could hire a few assistant solicitors for a year for that, one of whom might just have recommended a survey and had the backbone to speak up...
