So no doubt it will be the OUTCOME which is important, :-

We have to do training which is relevant and helpful to the lawyer's practice and builds knowledge

We need a long policy setting this out

We have a long evaluation form showing how the development objectives have been met for each and every item of training

Lawyer completes forms

Training principal monitors forms

Lawyer completes long annual assessment showing how training needs have been met

Training principal does annual review showing how objectives have been met

Training principal ticks box on SRA website

Firm can have licence to practice removed if this is not done

No one ever checks as long as the box is ticked.

TescoLaw training on Baked Beans counts as long as the outcomes are met.

Yes, I'm getting a feel for this outcomes-focussed way of practising.
