Mr Starr, your passion is admirable-your prejudices less so.

Why do you consider "the middle class" to be ignorant?

As I recall, most of the assault on our rights and liberties occurred under New Labour, a government complicit in "extraordinary rendition" (kidnapping), torture and murder, a war of aggression, and detention without trial. Not to mention the destruction of legal aid and its replacement by champerty and maintenance (once upon a time specifically prohibited).

They have been continued under this government.

Your actual substantive points are well made and correct (to me at least)-they are not improved by generalised attacks on sections of the people.
