Good - I do a lot of professional negligence work, and I am astonished at the number of times I see a clerk doing the work, only to have told the client they're a 'Solicitor'.

The ubiquitous term of 'Lawyer' should only now be used to refer to a qualified person conducting law, and that should be defined by law. The amount of times I see the term 'Lawyer' used always puts me on notice that the person using the term isn't qualified.

The public need to be better advised as to who they are seeing.
