What has all this cost the numerous parties to these cases? There was a perfectly workable procedure pre-Jackson, even pre-Woolf. What was wrong with that which a little tweaking and perhaps a bit more strict enforcement would not have solved? And should Jackson really be hearing this appeal against, well, Jackson? Is he not acting as judge and judge in his own cause?
