Let us hope that their Lordships find time to turn back a few pages in their copies of the White Book and took at CPR 1. They will recall that the Court must give effect to the overriding objective in the exercise of any powers under the rules, and in the interpretation of the rules, and that the over riding objective is to;
"... deal with a case justly and at proportionate cost."
I rest my case.
