So would Mitchell have been decided if Mitchell guidelines as now modified had been applied to Mitchell in the first place? This is harder to work out than the Schleswig-Holstein Question which, it is said, was only understood by three men, one at least of whom was mad. I can see more than one parallel here, but I am sure Dyson will sweep all that under the carpet.
