The Bar Council report, of course, doesn't say 'the publicly-funded bar faces a post-LASPO exodus'. It's only the headline of this piece that says that. Indeed, the report is much more considered in its views and says, among other things, that the majority of respondents have no immediate plans to leave the bar. Apart from that, I'd be surprised if a response rate of 643 provides a sample which is statistically representative of a population of about 12500 self-employed barristers.
