I agree with Martin. When was it that the service of justice between private parties concerning their children became media fodder? Oh yes I remember, flying purple missiles.
How the establishment panders to pressure groups.
Who are courts for in private law cases but the participants? There is something very wrong with the notion that because court expenses are met from the public purse, that this should lead to public media access. Someone has believed their own propaganda!
What has been the real quantifiable benefit of the number of reported cases escalating? Greater benefit in public confidence in the judicial system? Really? I see no evidence of that at all, rather litigants in person who trawl through reported cases to find some obscure similarities in the belief that precedent rules over a judge's discretion.
