This debate will rumble on and on.....and on. I wish someone with time would collate all the industry published Stats from various sources and put them side by side. One thing is fairly certain: 1 in 7 claims being fraudulent cannot be true in my view - do the maths. I share Mr Smith's opinion in part, but if you see "high risk" and "suspicious" cases all day, day in day out, you are naturally going to assume the F issue is a bigger problem than what it is. More reporting, more categorisation, and more numerical detail required. High risk does not equal Fraud. Carol Vorderman step forward to assist please.
