I have read through the comments here and I agree with every word of the LiP's here Steve Allen and Dave in particular. The incredible arrogance of Dominic Cooper and Richard Stone is astonishing. The key problem with courts is that the processes were designed with Lawyers in mind rather than justice, law is mostly an administrative process and the solution is therefore to simplify the process by automating. An example is Money Claims there is still at least 3 methods of issuing one this is idiotic.

I have the experience of hiring 3 different family lawyers, and 1 barrister and have significant bills to prove it. In addition my business solicitors were a major firm who have been found by the Legal Ombudsman to have lied, provided bad service and advice. Those family lawyers were from major firms and were all wholly incompetent and interested only in firstly justifying their existence and secondly increasing their fee income. Needless to say none made any attempt to negotiate partly because the opposing Legal Aid funded solicitor would both lie in and to court at will and did the usual tactics to increase her bill such as failing to respond to correspondence. After I sacked my lawyers to become an LiP this same Legal Aid funded lawyer took it upon herself to up the ante including abusing me verbally on 3 separate occasions and on one occasion entirely misstated the Judgement of the Circuit Judge in case to a District Judge in same court to gain advantage. I pointed this out to the DJ her response was to scream and shout at me!

Despite this I am the recipient of multiple contact orders, have been described as a loving capable parent yet I have no contact because I withdrew all applications after the Circuit Judge failed repeatedly to enforce orders he made, these orders including from the Court of Appeal had been breached more than 30 times.

It gets better still the behaviour of the opposing solicitor who comically puts 'collaborative solicitor' as her job title got worse still. So I complained to the only route I could ie Resolution who’s Code of Conduct she breached; despite admitting lying and misstating the law Resolution discontinued their investigation for her welfare! The SRA refuse to deal with her, despite additional evidence of legal aid fraud.

So really the lawyers here need to get real, the judges need to grow some balls not least do their jobs and at a minimum apply the law; after all a Circuit Judge earns in excess of £15000 per month.

I try to help LiPs, mostly fathers, where they have in most cases been threatened by lawyers, suffered false allegations and fear losing their children. Four of these were considering suicide. Fortunately they didn't but I never ever want to have another conversation like those again and since the abolition of LA I sence a reduction in these cases. However I fear those such as Dave and Steve Allen and those anonymous posters will continue to face it until the legal profession realise they are messing with peoples but more importantly children's lives. Only you can change it, so if you're a lawyer reading this before you write an aggressive letter or make an argument in court consider is the fee you're earning enough for ruining someone life with evidence that is likely to be flawed or unsafe?
