Sounds like vested interest to me.The Law Society has already done a lot of harm to the reputatation of Solicitors. Rather than rolling out the same garbage perhaps it will be wiser to rethink the way that property transactions are processed. Do we really need CQS or some other quality scheme.Does the protocol actually work or are further standard additional additional enquiries generated as a result. the lenders will be all for it since they pay no fees for the advice and access to each panel members PI. For once all Property Lawyers must get together and resist the additional burden both on fees and administration and become more creative in how the market can be reformed for the benefit of the paying public-"The Clients"
