The whole system is a con then, Anon 2.44. The fact that it is 'the system' does not make it less so.

So if taxi drivers all get together and say the minimum charge will be £50, you would pay that for going 50 yards if that is 'the system' I assume.

It may be how things are 'done', or rather how paying parties are 'done', but that does not make it right.

And I would venture to suggest that the blind acceptance that this is the system and adhering to it is just as wrong.
