Grayling is but a very sad symptom of the affliction we permit of rampant, uncontrolled politics.
He is as ignorant of the heritage of our law as he is of the need to protect our Constitution. It may suit his politics to trash our legal system under the guise of "Austerity" that spends £100 billions per year beyond what is collected in taxes, and he may have the self-knowledge that he really is unfit for the great Public Office he says he is an "advantage" to, but he will simply go down in History as the first holder of the Office for 400 years to be unqualified in the law. That pretty well sums up his contribution in toto.
