‘GPs are giving a clear warning that lack of legal advice can have consequences for a person’s health.'

Leaving aside the lack of proper evidence of a causal connection between the lack of legal advice and health problems, why does the Law Society need to fund a survey asking GPs about legal advice? Does the GMC pay for surveys which ask solicitors whether their clients would benefit from medical advice? How much money did the Society spend on this pointless survey?

It seems a very odd way to make the point that the lack of publicly-funded legal advice is undesirable. Can't the Society think of something a bit better?
