Not as much as me it would seem.The Chief Executive of the NHS appears to dispute their figures in that she says that £9.5 billion relates to outstanding liabilities which includes claims involving periodical payments which presumably have been grossed up and could cover periods of up to say 60years aswell as claims resolved and claims made.I believe that if you apply for medical records under the protocol it is classed as a claim made.As I have said before without a proper breakdown and analysis of the figures they are totally meaningless but useful propaganda for politicians.It is a pity to see the Financial Times providing misleading information.
