Yes sadly predictable, this is why i reluctantly gave up criminal work 15 years ago. The agenda was set then and any dependance on our senior colleagues, as with any union, was ill-advised and doomed to disaster. Disaster will certainly follow, the only way now is what your fellows 15 years ago should have had the foresight and guts to agree. Learn from the unions - a united front, direct and immediate action and a sanction for those who break ranks. This slow, play it by the book nonsense, that you have been led into has been such a predictable dead-end.The system cannot opperate without your imput, you still have a position of strength if you can organise. Move quickly or this is what you, and we all, will be stuck with. What a sorry, depressing future otherwise. I wish all my former, and those other many committed criminal lawyers, wisdom and boldness at this most important junture
