You make a valid point, although obliquely, Anon 9.54. Now that i no longer renew my PC I have occasion to refer my clients to a solicitor who does. I also tell them that their choice of who is to represent them is the single most important decision they will make.

My solicitor, Clive Jones of Gwilym Hughes and Partners in Wrexham was the best in N Wales and I would refer my clients to him. Sadly Clive retired a few years ago so is no longer available to us. His attention to detail was phenomenal, his knowledge of the law and of practice and procedure encyclopaedic, his desk and office always very tidy. He is sadly missed by many. But a few who crossed him will be glad he has gone. A former partner of mine said to his ex-wife when she left "Whatever you do, don't go to Clive Jones". Of course within a week he received a letter from him!!!
