i can see clients having to go down the route of disbursement loans where the interest is deducted from any damages awarded together with success fees and ATE premiums. We've been there before with TAG and the old Claims Direct with clients receiving only a fraction of their damages. Not a proud time for our industry but solicitors will not be able to subsidise clients as many including my practice do now when costs have been slashed leading to reduced profits.
