Slightly off tangent, but still relevant, is anything being done to investigate Jack Straw MP's tenure as Secretary of State for Justice from 2007-2010 in light of the allegations made in Channel 4 Dispatches programme?

PI lawyers will be aware he introduced a Private Members bill in 2010 suggesting fees for RTA stage 1 and 2 costs of £600 then we get landed with £500.

I have a letter from Mr Straw when I wrote to him about referral fees which led me to question certain matters at the time.

The insurers have continually ignored my request for their data to support their claims that rising car accident claims have driven up car insurance premiums which has resulted in the fees we have now. The reforms for PI claims have certainly influenced the rest of the justice system.

Many questions and potential conflict of interests to be addressed.

I agree with the posting above. The whole system is one of chaos and is disgraceful.

Come on Gazette, Jonathan Rayner, I have been raising this since 2005. What's to be done?
