Get real

The "whiplash" industry - and by that I mean any business involving the lawyers, medico legal firms and rehab outfits that profit from such claims - needs reform. We all know that.

The problem claimant lawyers have with all of this is that their margins continue to get squeezed and yet the insurers carve out new ABS profit from the rump of what was the old PI industry.

Poor old Joe Bloggs claimant gets: poor service, poor rehab and lets face it a pretty poor settlement.

The fear that most genuine claimant lawyers have is that those victims who fall into the top 5% of the serious injury bracket will get swept away by the conveyor belt settlement system we are now stuck with.

As Jim Royle would say .. Access to justice..? My ar8e!
