Comment

Following on from my post at 12.08pm, I have now had the SRA's reply to my letter to them detailing that I could not see that use of Medco was acting in the best interest of the Client. They have pointed out that the use of Medco is now enshrined in the CPR. there is a paragraph in the SRA principles to the effect that where two principles conflict ie the rule of law and acting in a Client's best interests, the rule of law is paramount. In other words the use of Medco has to be accepted even if we are acting against the best interests of the Client. Sad times indeed when the MOJ force a firm of solicitors to act against the best interests of a Client.
