There are constant themes on here which I laugh at, as a non-lawyer, regardless of article heading:
1) When I was a lawyer in the 60s/70s we had much posher leather bound chairs and everyone called me Sir.
2) Some Law firms are trying hard to look like a business, and are failing badly.
3) Ridicule after the event - better to go down fighting.
Plus - I agree re law firm/CMC adverts - they have to be amongst the worst on TV. I cannot believe a decent marketing/branding agency has not invented a true game-changer. We don't want to see adverts for "xxx and YYY" lawyers any more, we want to know why we should use you, and a name that counts for something. The battle of lawyers vs business guru's rumbles on......
