The law society has not come up with any specific ways to help us though have they? I even asked Chancery PII for some guidance having pointed out that the Law Society is not keeping up. They said they didn't have advice to give. No working examples, no best practice advice. The lenders aren't helping either. Asking for so much information on one form when applying for panel memberships. I was told by one lender that I was the only person to raise this as an issue. They ask for far too much financial info. I have raised the issue with my own bank, who then sent out a form for compensation that again had lots of info on it that the banks own internal systems wouldn't permit in one place together. We've been onto the SRA last week about their staff. Latest scam is to pretend you are from the regulator. Despite them confirming that their staff are not ringing us they haven't sent out any warnings about this and neither have the Law Society. Thank god for Rob Hailstone and his efforts to protect conveyancers is all I can say. Otherwise we are on our own. I have to post this anonymously to protect our firm.
