You cannot choose your own medic.
My company does not have any financial tie- ins with any agency/GP but so far we have not had one agency/GP we know or recognise. We have no idea of the quality of their reports and yet we are to entrust our clients' claims to strangers to us and to our clients. There is no accreditation in place yet and one agency which appeared on our search was only registered at companies house on 17 March! How are we supposed to advise our clients as to which agency/GP to see?
One colleague searched for a GP in Birmingham - he got one, 2 in Liverpool and 4 elsewhere in England- this effectively limits the client's choice to one- not much of a choice.
This should be halted until accreditation comes in.
