I can't believe our profession has allowed this to happen. We now have a situation where we are not allowed to act in the best interests of our client by selecting a competent medical expert as an expert witness. I queried it with the SRA and they accepted what I said but pointed out that the rule of law ie compliance with the CPR trumps everything.
MedCo has no published address or telephone number. It hides behind email addresses to which you never get a reply. I am still waiting to hear from them as to where you can find details of ownership of the major MROs they are promoting to avoid a possible conflict of interest arising on a case. I may be old fashioned but I would not want to use in a case an MRO owned by my opponent.
