So what’s new? I left school at 16 and qualified after 5 years articles. 2 more years at school and a further 3 at university seemed then (and would have been) a complete waste of time and money from a practice point of view. 40 years later in 1996, I served on the Law Society Council and was regularly scorned for expressing that view in Council.
I am glad the nonsense of requiring a degree (any, perhaps in gardening or golf course management??) has at last been shown to be the pretentious nonsense it always was.
