Whilst this development should be welcomed on both sides of the fence the devil is in the detail. What information will be disclosed and who is it who inputs the data / decides that a claim is fraudulent. in the first place? My concern is that the information contained on the database will be simply be a refection of insurers misplaced concerns. It is nevertheless another helpful tool in rooting out bogus claims. I do not know of any solicitors who are against rooting out fraudsters from the system.
