This is not about left or right. There is nothing left wing about having the right to free expression or protection against having your property expropriated. This is about having a coherent and internationally respected legal framework for a 21st century society which is part of a world of people who are diverse but all human. Isolation is the road to social and economic failure. There is no point here whining about the past, however dismal bits of it may have been.
