Several comments above have suggested that mediation in possession cases would be a good thing. How would this work? With a mediated "order for possession" in his hand how will a landlord actually enforce it and get vacant possession. Wll he hire a private Bailiff? And will the local authority re-house a tenant who has been dispossessed in this way? If not, who's going to tell the tenant?
