I see the Pro Labour brigade are continuing to whinge post election.

If I remember correctly, it was Blair and Derry Irvine who introduced the Legal Services Act 2007, leading to the fragmentation we see today, whereby McKenzie Friends, Unregulated advisers etc. are emerging in the 'market place'. I fail to see how this story can be laid solely at the door of the Tories ?

I do have a rueful smile looking at this thread and thinking now these seismic changes with all that washes out, are now going to be rippling out through the Bar. When you see the Bar Council asking for greater regulatory powers you just know where its all going. They and by implication, the future judiciary, are very much going to reap what they have sowed when their branch of the profession gets a horse and carriage driven through it.
