Having worked as a McKenzie Friend for many years, mostly unpaid I can say the only reason that I and many others did so is the vast numbers of people who:

A. Feel let down by the professional lawyers (Judges et al)
B. Cannot afford even £1
C. Welcome people helping who exhibit a rel passion for justice

Of course MFs have more leway, but we also get offered far less respect by the courts and therefore have to really know what we are doing especially when you get judges and lawyers who abuse process because they think they can get away with it.

I like many ex LIPs and MFs would love the the legal profession to get its current unholy act together, i never wanted to be a MF, but my experience in forsensics helped.

Of course I could help the lot of you sort our the whole legal aid thing, but then I suppose you would want me to pay you for your time in getting that done. I am serious by the way.

Yes I have had lawyers asking me for help, Irony huh!
