I do feel slightly sorry for the individual behind the tweet. It was an ill timed and insensitive joke, but a joke nonetheless.

In my view the person concerned does not deserve the abuse above. Comments such as "disgusting vultures" are uncalled for. The tweet was a silly thing to do, and no doubt he regretted it instantly. There was no malice intended, unlike, I suspect, abusing others via the internet.
