Well, Anon 11.06, all I can say is you never went to The Lamb, The New Inn, The Pilot, The Light House,The Buccaneer or The Beachy Head Hotel, nor The Tiger at East Dean, or The Star or Smugglers at Alfriston...

So long as you did not object to visiting old ladies in their private rooms in their private nursing homes smelling of a mixture of Johnson's talc and using it was great. The Esperance is one that comes to mind, once in there there really was no hope, despite its name!. And you could always take a turn on the three mile long promenade to clear your head afterwards if necessary.

And we ran all their affairs on the strength of s.10 P of A Act 1971 long after their mental capacity had become well, shall we just say, weakened by age... And they would often leave their lawyers a nice legacy for doing so, too! Well, quite often we were the only ones who bothered with them, so why not?
