Absolutely empathise with your predicament Anonymous (17 June 2015 05:08 pm), but Mr Tarren has a far stronger 'case' than yours. In small enterprises the Government should subsidise the employer (if their staff take maternity leave) as the costs mentioned may be intolerable for small businesses.
In medium and larger organisations the costs should be absorbed by the employer (as far as reasonably possible).
You ‘exist’ – therefore you were ‘born’.
Although the ‘male’ of the species plays its useful part in bringing forth children – it is a ‘woman’ that carries the child in her womb.
Women are solely responsible for bringing to the world a cadre of lawyers & talented chefs. Wherever possible they should be supported in such an aspiration. Motherhood should be celebrated and cherished.
Without women- not a single lawyer would exist (man or woman).
