Really helpful piece, the competition is fierce but the JAC have helpful resources on their website and their Road Shows and meet the Judges events are invaluable.

Also if you are unsuccessful do try again, going through the process is an invaluable experience and many judges I know had some disappointments too.

Finally do seek advice and help from judges and chairs, your colleagues and others.
