Is ridiculous. As others have said seems only lawyers are expected to work for free.

Like many others I work extremely long hours in a very competitive industry yet somehow these idiots think I should find say another 15-20 hours a month to work for free. On top of that doing areas of law I have no expertise in or business dabbling in. From a risk management perspective ill thought through to put it mildly.

The law is a profession and should have ethics but at the same time it is a business and subject to the same economic pressures as any other industry. When plumbers and call centre workers start giving an extra 10% of working time free maybe we can consider it. Until then these so called think tanks should leave us alone to do our jobs.
