Some court closures are justified but nowhere near the number here.

In my neck of the woods some are ridiculous. St Helens closing, presumably because someone in London thinks it is near Liverpool. Yet they have just spent millions refurbishing it!!!! And the bus from St Helens to Liverpool can take 90 minutes with a taxi costing £30 each way.

Bolton, Bury and Oldham are obviously closing just to make the White Elephant Manchester County Court have more justification for its 80 (empty) courtrooms.

Warrington County Court closing is ridiculous. If they shunt cases off to Liverpool or Manchester, it would be too extreme.
