I agree with Glyn Seal. Let's go the whole hog and close all the courts. Criminal cases could be easily dealt with by a brief discussion in the custody suite and hardly anyone is using the civil and family courts since the fees hike and virtual abolition of legal aid. The scarce resources could then be concentrated where they are most needed ie in setting up the new court to deal with the super rich litigation. The government can then boast about "the finest justice system in the world". After all we know that the priority must be ensuring that a Russian oligarch can litigate his claim against a Virgin Islands hedge fund. Too bad if you are a young mum with 2 kids who has to take them by bus to a justice centre an hour way to represent herself in a contact dispute with her ex. We are all equal before the law, aren't we?
