As this has turned into Question Time, to add my tuppence, you might have noticed recently that the wife of the Minister responsible for Justice, recently wrote an article criticising the NHS for not having X-Ray facilities or sufficient medical staff available for the said Minister's suspected broken foot at the weekend despite the fact that:
1. The Minister attended a nurse led Minor Injuries Unit
2. The unit is run by Care UK (a privately owned health clinic outside the remit of the NHS)
3. The clinic does not offer X-ray facilities or round the clock doctor led care - for that the Minister needed to attend his local A&E dept but was apparently too busy to do so....
Despite the above, the same Minister stood by as his wife wrote a clearly slanted and blatantly incorrect piece in a national paper

So why are we as lawyers placing any trust in his 'leadership' at these times of change without proper consultation, and since when did facts become optional ?
