Putting to one side all of the extraneous information you guys have about this Judge, surely he has a right to feel aggrieved that BA left his luggage off his flight? The fact that he has complained to BA, harms his apparent independence so he's right to stand down from the case. He must also be right that BA had a reason for taking a plane load of passengers and leaving all of their luggage behind. I too would be suspicious if after 12 days BA offered no explanation for such bizarre action. It seems to me Mr Justice Peter Smith's conduct and judgment in these matters, is beyond reproach.
