As a newly qualified 24 years ago the senior partner of a local firm wrote (in response to my letter telling him that his argument was legally incorrect) that "it is unfortunate that this matter is being handled at your firm by an office junior". This office junior went on to prove him wrong in the matter with costs, and later successfully sued the same senior partner for negligence.
