Good thought Lawrence but the problems are many. Because of the CPR most of us try to settle before issuing a claim. The claim only goes in when that has failed and then most mediators say that if our efforts have achieved nothing then mediation is unlikely to do better. Additionally, in my experience, it is a way to make sure that everyone ends up equally annoyed. Our taxes go towards a court system that is fit for purpose and the current one is, for the most part, not.
