There are more women in my team than men but, while all the men work full time, about 2/3rds of the women work part-time. That seems to be pretty consistent across the firm.

Many women get partnership but find it difficult to compete for the 'top' jobs with people working full time (often for extremely long hours) once they've gone part time. To that extent, at least, I think LJ Sumption had a point.
