I must confess I've never heard of hourly rates being set very high because of failures on other matters. That's cool though, that example justifies my claiming £4,000 per hour in tripping cases. Except it doesn't as I get fixed fees.

I'd have thought that there would be a relatively quick assessment of funds would be possible and that unsuccessful cases were winnowed out rapidly.

All that said, I'd rather be successful on one or two big insolvency matters at £500 per hour than umpteen portal claims at £500 or £900 for all work done.
