There is a reason why we have solicitors and this is it. Of course you can distinguish this case from the run of the mill, but we do actually have a function in the system. We should have some respect from the Judiciary, which always seems remarkably absent until they need us to do something for them. It would be nice for instance if they didn't rely upon our insurance policies as the dumping ground for the tough law they like to hand out.
