Pointing the finger at those who are fighting for our profession is not the right way to go about this issue no matter what they earn (it reminds me of the press coverage regarding the barrister with a mulberry - who was fighting for Legal Aid). We, as a profession, need to join together to fight against the continual war the government are waging.

There is still a huge issue regarding diversity/ social mobility within the profession but each battle won is a step in the right direction.

It is still as difficult for aspiring lawyers to enter this profession. If this recommended minimum wage for trainee solicitors assists just one person, then it's a job well done.
