Gosh, having read the judgment, it appears that the solicitor in this case was acting under the Legal Help Scheme. Poor woman. She tries to help this whinger who has come to an independent agreement with her husband WHICH SHE HAS ALREADY BEEN ADVISED ABOUT and then seeks to blame someone else for her own mistakes. She gets paid circa £50 for the privilege.
I remember when I had a high-maintenance Legal Help client where the court unhelpfully lost the divorce petition and I had to draft a new one, causing some inevitable delay. In her furious email to me, she complained about 'costs'. I had to gently point out to her that she was not paying a single penny for the eventually 5 hours that I ended up spending on the case.
