Get over yourselves. This has nothing to do with `access to justice' and everything to do with the gravy train hitting the buffers.

Most people in minor car accidents don't suffer any significant symptoms at all - until they're persuaded by scummy CMC's and bent lawyers and doctors to reconsider. How come people in the rest of Europe seem to manage perfectly well without making whiplash claims?

The whiplash industry has only itself to blame. The incredible greed shown by firms of lawyers over the past few years is absolutely sickening, and it has often made me embarrassed to be in the same `profession'.

I've read all the law reports of firms claiming tens of thousands for some poxy little - often imaginary - injury and of credit hire companies putting in bills of £50k +. I've read the medico-legal blogs of doctors admitting to churning out computerised medical reports and making thousands of pounds a day, and openly boasting of queues of claimants outside their temporarily rented office.

You all know that the days of recoverable success fees and ATE were a licence to print money, and boy did you lot exploit it! I used to get flyers every week from legal recruitment agencies selling PI paralegals who were grossing £200k and solicitors grossing £300k. It was an unmitigated disgrace, but you all had your snouts well in the trough.

This has probably been the most corrupt industry that has ever existed in any so called profession. So stop whingeing about how money has stopped growing on trees and start doing a job that your own clients are willing to pay you for rather than sponging off insurance companies.

And by the way, I shall see the downward thumbs which are no doubt queuing up as a ringing endorsement! ;-)
