Forty-five people – to date, who responded to an earlier version of this story – posted on November 18, did not seem overly welcoming of this judgement. Many saw problems in implementing unbundling. Not all the fears expressed were far-fetched. A retainer letter will be of little value if placed before a judge desirous of reaching a different decision that does not seem to conflict with Minkin v Lesley Landsberg. We all saw what fun the judiciary had with Mr Mitchell’s costs.
